Best places to chill out in Karnataka

Hi Friends! Hope you all are doing good. This is my first post, all about escaping to God made paradises (beaches) around the places that I have grown up going to, especially with my parents, cousins and my relatives. I would like to educate you guys about these untouched beaches because of the lack of cleanliness in most of the public beaches in Karnataka and Goa. These are one of the most pristine beaches in the foothills of the Western Ghats. People usually like to chill out, recreate & relax with their friends and family for a change/break from their hectic jobs, daily routines and also the lack of enough nature in metro's. This is true because nature allows you to connect with your soul, which most of the people living in cities lack of. I would like to take you to different places on this blog one by one to new and exciting places where there is just peace and nature's beauty surrounding you and absolutely no disturbance from the outside world. So this time I would like to start of with beaches located on the western coast of Karnataka starting from. Gokarna, known for its hippie tourists and go all the way up towards Karnataka/Goa border and inside Goa (South Goa)

Om Beach: Near Gokarna, Kudle, Karnataka

Paradise beach is located in Gokarna, Karnataka. It is very close to the famous Om beach. Kudle ( which is pronounced as Kudlee) is the first beach that you arrive to while going to paradise beach. Om beach which is very famous is another 20 minute walk, and an additional 20 and 40 minute walk will bring you to Half-moon Beach and Paradise Beach respectively which is more secluded and this gets more and more remote and isolated as you go further up. Usually a lot of foreign tourists head up to this place from Goa to just relax and to chill out in that peaceful and quite beach.

Half Moon Beach:

On the way from Om Beach, by walk:

Palolem Beach: (South Goa, once you enrer Goa from Karwar, Karnataka:

Continuing upwards north from Gokarna, we reach Karwar which lies in the Karnataka/Goa border. 15 Km from Karwar starts Goa border  (South Goa). Palolem beach  is again largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and foreign tourists who live in shacks, resorts & private cottages along the shores. It is about 1.61 km/1mile long and is crescent-shaped; one can view this spectacular  beach from  both ends. Both ends consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, and the currents are not fast.
The beach is also known for Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) in the film The Bourne Supremacy (2004). The initial footage in the movie gives a good idea of the natural beauty of the beach.

Hope you guy's enjoyed this little trip to heaven. In my next post I will be taking you to the forests of UK (North Canara) districts in Karnataka, which has some amazing waterfalls, mysterious rivers with stone carvings and many more. Stay tuned........until then good bye.
